Moulton Advertiser

The Moulton Advertiser began publishing in 1828 and is thought to be the oldest weekly newspaper in Alabama.It was founded by Alexander McCartney and has had several owners over the years. Two families have had the longest tenures as owners. Various members of the White family owned, edited and published the newspaper from the late 1860s until 1921. Today, The Advertiser continues to serve as Lawrence County's hometown newspaper as part of Tennessee Valley Media, Inc.
