    Let's Talk About Stuff.

Our goal in posting our blogs is three fold: To introduce timely industry news that is relevant to our clients; to post items we find interesting and entertaining, and finally, to give you a glimpse of TSW US “Behind the Curtain”. We take the business aspects of what we are doing very seriously, but we like to have fun, hopefully that shines through here.

Our Blog is a puzzle being assembled. Sometimes the individual pieces of the puzzle don’t look like the whole picture once completed – You have to keep adding pieces one at a time to make the image clear. We hope you keep coming back to see how the TSW US puzzle takes shape.

Art Tuesday Rache's Apple

It's Art Tuesday at Elarbee Media! I am so proud to show off our newest addition this week. Acid Green Apple, by Rache Elarbee. It is a pen holder for my desk, and the color is superb. This is my very first piece of clay art to come home from school, and oddly, it looks like it was made for my office. I can't wait to add it to the collection! No doubt, long after I have finished in advertising, this will have appreciated to being priceless.

Cocktail Friday Is Bigger Better?

09/26/2014
It’s Cocktail Friday at Elarbee Media! This week’s vintage cocktail item is a set of rooster embossed cocktail glasses. They would only hold about 4 ounces of anything, but are quite stylish. When I see the size of older items, cocktail items or even vintage clothes, I wonder whether or not our concept of “bigger is better” has backfired. Is selling large volumes at a discount necessarily better than selling quality at a premium price? Have we gone too far down the road of volume discounting to double back and change?Either way, these rooster glasses will come in handy this afternoon -- even if I have to fill them frequently.

“Outstanding leaders go out of their way to boost the self-esteem of their personnel. If people believe in themselves, it’s amazing what they can accomplish.” - Sam WaltonIt’s Wisdom Wednesday at Elarbee Media. Insights, both business and personal, come from many sources. Art Tuesday Autumn Transitions

09/23/2014
It’s Art Tuesday at Elarbee Media, and today we are celebrating the Autumnal Equinox when day and night are nearly equal lengths. This untitled wood block print is equal parts dark and light, symbolizing the equinox. The artist has used the autumnal color orange to boot! It is one of our more stark and graphic pieces here, but I always notice it transitions from dark to light. What does this time of year mean for business? A transition in thinking from this year to next, preparing for and securing next year. There is a full quarter of this year left ahead of us as well though.

It is Art Tuesday at Elarbee Media. This week in honor of our travel to Las Vegas for the E.R.A Show, we chose to highlight this sterling wishbone. The joys of business travel are limitless! (sarcasm) Hopefully this little silver wishbone makes this week's trip not only tolerable, but fruitful. Cheers to all of you road warriors out there! The Elarbee Media team hopes your travels this week are also safe and productive.

“Lead me, follow me or get out of my way.” General George Patton, U.S. Army General Setting the direction and plowing through all obstacles to follow that path can make you unpopular as a leader, but it is often the key to success. Not everyone is loved while they are still playing the game. The value in their steadfastness is often only appreciated in looking back. I love Patton because he makes me look soft and feminine. Rather a tough assignment to give a dead man – but he can handle it.

Art Tuesday Earthy Color

It is Art Tuesday at Elarbee Media! Today’s painting is in my office opposite my desk, and is what I look at every time I look up from my computer. It’s a large canvas about 4 feet wide by 5.5 feet tall. It coincidentally carries all of the colors that I chose for my personal office space (greens, browns, yellows, oranges and teal blues). Colors have meanings and are symbolic to us as people; all of these colors are earthy and centering to me personally. In advertising, colors have symbolic meaning too. Pale pink is a tough sell for a truck ad.

Cocktail Friday the Art of Packaging

09/05/2014
It is cocktail Friday again at Elarbee Media. Today’s vintage barware from our office are these cork insulated copper glasses. They keep your drink cool, and keep the glass from sweating. Sweet! Because they are beautiful copper, I paired them with a bottle of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, which just happened to be handy. In thinking about Tito’s (which I normally only do longingly) I had to ask myself as an advertising professional, “how much value do you add to the product by slapping the moniker “handmade” on the label?”
Attributing brand value for something like that can be tricky. Check out this great article for some thoughts about the art of product labeling and packaging: http://bit.ly/IIm2mE

Whatever your opinion may be, I can tell you Tito’s is superb, and that drinking it out of these cute little matching glasses makes it taste even better. Cheers!
